Adam Stengel is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was raised on the Jersey Shore. As a young artist, Adam absorbed eclectic New Jersey music scenes in Asbury Park, New Brunswick, and Hoboken before he came to live in New York City where he immersed himself in the legendary and diverse NYC original music and songwriter circles.
In addition to fronting several rock bands, Adam performed solo acoustic shows in clubs and coffeehouses from Boston to Nashville. His three albums of original songs feature, among many others, the award-winning single, Willie Mays (the 2005 Cooch Music Song of the Year which was often heard on Fox Sports Channel), She makes me wait (reached #1 on Broadjam.com’s Blues chart), Gun Crazy (runner up in the International Songwriting Competition), Autumn Breezes (semi-finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition and Mixed Up Farm (Finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest). Over the last nearly three decades, Adam has grown into a skilled songwriter and vocalist who uniquely blends multiple musical genres and intelligent, thought-provoking and truly original lyrics into music that is infused with powerful storytelling, unique phrasing, and unforgettable hooks.
Adam Stengel has released three albums of original material. 1994’s Train of Thought featuring Nights at Cherry Creek and Kicking and Screaming, 2004’s The Last Day of Summer, which included the autobiographical Some of Us and hard rocking Wide Awake as well as Willie Mays and She Makes Me Wait and his newest release, Happy to be Alive, which was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee and contains eleven stories of life, death, love, loss, anger, redemption, joy and hope, including New Tomorrow, Gun Crazy and the funky blues jam, Fingerprints.
